Overview

This guide covers how to access, share, and strategically use your online store link and QR code to drive customer orders and increase your digital visibility. Effective promotion turns your online store from a passive menu into an active sales channel.

Who is this guide for?

  • Store Owners & Managers driving sales through digital channels.

  • Marketing & Social Media Coordinators responsible for customer outreach.

  • Front-of-House Staff engaging directly with customers in-store.

Before You Begin

  • Store is Live: Ensure your online store is published and items are available (Sell > Online > Manage Availability).

  • Permissions: You need access to the online store dashboard.

  • Goals: Consider what you're promoting—general ordering, a specific promotion, or a new item.

How to Access Your Shareable Links & QR Code

  1. Open your EPOS360 Merchant App.

  2. Tap "Sell" in the bottom navigation bar.

  3. Select the "Online" tab to access your store dashboard.

  4. Tap the "Share" button. This is your central hub for all promotional assets.

Step-by-Step Sharing Methods

Method 1: Share via Direct Link (URL)

The simplest way to send your store directly to customers via text, email, or social media.

  1. From the "Share" screen, tap "Copy Link".

  2. Your unique store URL (e.g., order.epos360.com/your-store-name) is copied to your device's clipboard.

  3. Paste this link into any messaging app, email, social media post, or bio section (like Instagram or Facebook).

Method 2: Share via QR Code

Ideal for in-person promotion—customers can scan and order instantly.

  1. From the "Share" screen, your unique QR code is displayed.

  2. To Download:

    1. Tap "Download" to save a high-resolution image (PNG) to your device's photo gallery.

    2. Best for: Printing or digital design.

  3. To Share Digitally:

    1. Tap your device's native Share icon.

    2. Send the QR code image directly via messaging, email, or post it to social media.

Method 3: Share via Social Media or Messaging Apps

The app provides one-tap sharing to common platforms.

  1. From the "Share" screen, you will see icons for platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, etc. (available options may vary by device).

  2. Tap the desired app icon.

  3. A pre-populated message with your store link will open. Add a personal note (e.g., "Order here for 10% off!") and send.

Best Practices for Promotion

Strategic Placement for QR Codes:

  • On Tables: Use table tents or stickers for dine-in customers to order desserts or more drinks.

  • At the Counter: Place a stand near the register for takeaway customers.

  • In Store Windows: Attract passersby who can order for pickup.

  • On Receipts & Packaging: Include a QR code so customers can easily reorder.

  • In Marketing Materials: Add to flyers, posters, or business cards.

Effective Use of the Direct Link:

  • Social Media Bios: Place the link in your Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok profile.

  • Email Signatures: Add "Order Online" with the link in all staff business emails.

  • SMS/Text Blasts: Send the link directly to your customer list for promotions.

  • Website Integration: Embed the link as a prominent "Order Now" button on your website.

Promotional Campaigns:

  • Link to Specific Items: You can share direct links to specific categories or items. From your online store dashboard, navigate to the item, tap the share icon, and copy that unique URL to promote a "Featured Burger" or "Weekly Special."

  • Track Performance: While basic analytics may be shown in your dashboard, using a dedicated link shortener (like Bitly) can provide deeper click-tracking data for your campaigns.

Troubleshooting

  1. The QR code isn't scanning

    1. It might be due to poor print quality, glare, or size too small. Ensure high-contrast printing, test multiple scanning apps, and make the physical code at least 2x2 inches (5x5 cm).

  2. Customer is unable to order from online store

    1. The online store status may be closed or outside operating hours. Go to Online → Online Settings to check your settings
